There are times where filing for divorce can be avoided given that a couple is able to work through their differences and then there are times like the one described below where divorce is, in fact, the best possible option. Al.com has recently reported a disturbing story that involves Tonya Hardy Moore and her soon to be ex-husband, Germaine Moore. According to the source, Tonya Moore recently filed for divorce after finding out that her husband was the suspect in a viral video that depicted a young girl who was forced to perform oral sex on an adult man, that man being Germaine.

But that wasn’t the worst of it.

Tonya Hardy Moore also learned after being charged herself, that her husband had some dark secrets she never knew about. She met Germaine on a dating website, they went on a few dates, and the two “fell in love.” Shortly after, they wed and have been married for five months now. But things took an odd turn south on February 6th when Germaine was forced to turn himself in after being charged with five felonies in Alabama which included one count of first-degree rape, one count of facilitating travel to meet a child for an unlawful sex act, and three counts of traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act.

He was also facing other charges in the state of Michigan.

According to the Wayne County Michigan prosecutor’s office, Germaine sexually assaulted three girls over a six-year period from 2011 to 2017. He is their paternal uncle and would watch them while their mother worked. Little did she know he was sexually assaulting them during this time. But Tonya Hardy Moore had no idea about his past nor was she aware that her husband was the prime suspect in the viral video. So, why is she now being charged when she is the victim?

According to her criminal defense lawyer, Tonya Hardy Moore is being charged with hindering prosecution when she was questioned by officers of her husband’s whereabouts and neglected to provide accurate information. It appears she attempted to cover for him when she was notified of his arrest warrant and said she dropped him off at a friend’s house. Rather than turn him in, surveillance video caught the two at Walmart a few hours later. Germaine is now being held on $5 million cash bond and is currently in jail. As for Tonya Hardy Moore, while she did file for divorce shortly after her husband’s arrest, she also lost her job and her three daughters are being secluded from her.
